What is important when creating her pottery is that it feels comfortable in the hand when used in everyday life.
Using soil from Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, each piece is shaped by rolling it over with a potter's wheel at her studio in Tokyo. The handles on each mug are individually attached by hand. Each one has a slightly different shape.
Each person has different hand sizes and different cup preferences for drinks, so we hope you can find one that suits you perfectly.

Modern Kintsugi Artist / Potter
Tomomi Kamoshita creates ceramics and three-dimensional artworks focused on her beautiful color and fine shapes at her studio in Tokyo. She has held solo exhibition and ceramic workshops in Japan as well as outside of Japan. Recently, she has been working utilizing the traditional Japanese technique of "kintsugi" in her own modern style. Kintsugi (Japanese Golden Joinery) is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
