Mino-yaki (ware) is a general term for ceramics produced in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture (Tajimi City, Toki City, Mizunami City, etc.). It accounts for approximately 60% of the total production of Japanese food and drinkware manufactured throughout Japan, and is popular as one of Japan's most representative pottery items.
Tokoname-yaki (ware) is a type of pottery made primarily in Tokoname City, Chita Peninsula, Aichi Prefecture. Tokoname has long been known as a pottery production area, and is known as the "hometown of teapots'' as it produces the most teapots in Japan.
Karatsu-yaki (ware), Kouungama is a type of Japanese pottery known for its rustic, earthy aesthetic. Handmade by skilled artisans in the city of Karatsu, each piece is unique and carries a rich history.
