suiu Stacking Tinware Sake Sets

Among the many different kinds of craftsmanship the Japanese have been perfecting throughout their long history, tinware is one of the lesser known. This is a shame, because as the Japanese show, tin can produce some exquisite results. Take the suiu Stacking Tinware Sake Sets, for example: from their round shapes (which when stacked, remind us of the kagami-mochi rice cakes eaten in auspicious occasions) to their finish and the way they fit on each other, these vessels are the best companion for that rare bottle of junmai daiginjo sake that you've been saving for a special occasion!

Whether the two-piece (server plus one cup) or the three-piece (server plus two differently sized cups) version, the suiu Stacking Tinware Sake Sets allow you to enjoy your sake even better. They are obviously recommended for cold sake, but remember: most premium sake is meant to be consumed at room temperature and below. Whether drinking alone or sharing your sake with a special someone, these sets add a note of tradition-meets-modern design magnificence to your table. Oh, and if you have the three-piece set, you can always use the big cup as a dish, too!

The suiu Stacking Tinware Sake Sets features:

    • 3-piece (2 cups) set
    • Made using Osaka Naniwa Suzuki traditional tinware techniques
    • Traditional paulownia wood box
    • Dimensions (3-piece): server 97 x 52 mm (3.8 x 2") / big cup 84 x 25 mm (3.3 x 0.9") / small cup 67 x 19 mm (2.6 x 0.7")
    • Weight (3-piece): server 250g /  big cup 180g / small cup 110g
