FUJI GAUZE's SDGs
As a "useful stuffed animal", our popular product "Glasses Stand Dog" is not just cute.  In general, stuffed animals are stuffed with polyester cotton or urethane. In our products, about 290 g of industrial scraps generated in the process of making various cloth products are used for the filling of "Glasses Stand Dog". We will contribute to the global environment and society while continuing to work on valuing resources.
That is FUJI GAUZE's SDGs.

Material : Cotton 100%

Technique : Premium Banshu weave

[About FUJI GAUZE]

Since 1952, Fujihara Dyeing Works has excelled in yarn dyeing at the
heart of Banshu textile production in Nishiwaki. FUJI GAUZE offers premium Banshu weave fabrics and products dyed with our meticulous in-house technique,
"Banshu-dye." They prioritize creating timeless items that withstand passing trends
and provide long-lasting enjoyment for individuals of all ages. The goal is to
harmonize traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern lifestyles, delivering
satisfying products through continuous quality improvement and technological
innovation. Together, they will continue our dedication to developing
exceptional FUJI GAUZE products.

[What is Banshu weave]

"Banshu weaving" is said to have originated in the Edo period (1600-1868) when the technique was brought to the Banshu area from Kyoto via the Tanba Kaido.
The warm climate of this area was suitable for cotton cultivation, and it was blessed with clean, low-hardness water ideal for yarn dyeing. We have been operating a dyeing factory since 1950 in this production area of "Banshu-ori".
“FUJI GAUZE” is a factory brand that has been creating cloth products with original plans using Banshu weave since 2020 using its own dyeing technology.
