Tomoo Hamada is a renowned Mashiko pottery artist and the third-generation successor of the Hamada family, one of Japan’s most celebrated ceramic lineages. As the grandson of Living National Treasure Shoji Hamada, Tomoo continues the legacy of the Mingei folk craft movement while bringing his own contemporary sensibility to traditional Mashiko pottery.
